We are seeking a highly motivated 3 rd shift Manufacturing Technician to understand and apply our team's fundamental technology. This commitment provides the opportunity to join an established team and help ensure that we are meeting our operations objectives and business needs. The standard hours are Sunday through Friday, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:

  • Learn, support, and practice Gore culture
  • Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Manufacture product and advocate safety practices while working with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Engineering to include the use of personal protective equipment
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment with a focus on producing quality products and achieving team production goals
  • Perform inspection and testing
  • Make informed product quality decisions based on product documentation
  • Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products that meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)/ISO standards
  • Interact and communicate with cross functional teams, including shop associates, process engineers, and new product development engineers
Required Qualifications:
  • Machine operation experience, including experience performing preventative maintenance on complex equipment
  • Safety oriented
  • Basic math and computer skills with ability to learn more advanced systems and manage computer files
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written, w hile working independently and i n a team environment ( ability to positively influence teammates)
  • Proven attention to detail with ability to focus on primary commitments while managing multiple priorities
  • Documentation and record keeping skills
  • Adapt to production schedule changes with the ability to shift to other production areas on short notice
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and execute detailed manufacturing processes and follow written procedures
  • Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts to meet business needs, could include extended hours (10-12 hours per day)
  • Ability to routinely lift/push/pull up to 35lbs several times over an 8-hour period; also stand for most of shift and climb steps as needed
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating complex manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with quality control systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Preventative maintenance experience
