The company's main functions include performing forensic analysis, property condition assessments, construction administration, waterproofing and air-barrier testing, on-site observations, and reports on existing buildings. Role Overview:

They are looking to expand our team of multidisciplinary consultants by adding a highly motivated licenced architect at the mid-to senior level. The person will be knowledgeable about how building enclosures behave and how their parts work in order to use this knowledge to forensic studies of inland, maritime, and commercial buildings as well as industrial facilities.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform forensic investigations for malfunction in the building envelope.
  • Determine the cause of malfunctions in the building envelope systems and suggest fixes.
  • Fieldwork to record as-built conditions and damage to building systems caused by human-induced (design and construction errors/omissions) or natural (wind, water, fire, earth movement, etc.) causes. Large-scale natural disasters like localised floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, and earthquakes can be considered natural events.


Education and Experience requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with proven growth
  • State of Illinois Licensed Architect
  • Ability to secure new clients and generate new business
  • Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AUTOCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Grasshopper)
