We Care Lead*6:45 am - 9:00 am and 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm M-F [6 hours/day]

Salary: $16.40 - $17.81 per hour (3 Steps) (Non-bargaining unit position)

General Description of Duties:

* Complete daily tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

* Responsible for planning and implementing program activities for a We Care center in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education.

* Perform a vairety of clerical functions including, but not limited to; computer data entry, student attendance, record keeping, filing, processing and security of cash/checks, answering center telephone, and other duties to ensure the smooth operation of the We Care program.

* Act as a proper role model for staff and students at all times.

* Attend required in-service training sessions.

* Perform duties in a professional manner and in accordance with Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education policies and procedures.

* Perform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job description.

Essential Functions of the Position:

* Accept direction and suggestions from immediate supervisor.

* Plan educational and recreational activities in a wide variety of disciplines to appeal to the atttending students' areas of interest (example: literacy, crafts, games, etc.).

* Communicate with parents, principals, program coordinator and other key school personnel in a professional manner.

* Maintain records, charts, and complete other clerical work as assigned using current computer hardware and software.

* Direct work of other We Care staff members, communicating accurately and effectively, both written and orally.

* While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach and lift with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to ajust focus. Some travel abilities are required.

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

* The position requires the individual to be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints to prioritize which needs are to be fulfilled first, interact with the public, students, and other staff, meet demands from several people, and the ability to work alone.
