Job Details
Demco is seeking a Drafter for our semi-trailer manufacturing facility. This position will focus on assisting the Design Engineers with updates to drawings, modifications, and requests for change. This position reports to the Director of Engineering. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your skills, and expertise. This position will work out of our Spencer, IA facility.
Monday - Thursday 7am/4:30pm and Fridays 7am/12pm
Primary Duties:
- Detail drawings and update and modify existing drawings
- Convert existing drawings to SolidWorks design
- Works with manufacturing, vendors and other engineering personnel to ensure documentation meets specifications
- Assist with product manual updates as needed
- Process requests for change and make adjustments to drawings as needed
- Prepares charts for representation of statistical data
- Must be able to effectively present information to clients, customers and employees
- Work with and support ISO 9000 work instructions and procedures
- Maintain accurate records and files
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:- Two year technical degree from an accredited school or college preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Knowledge of Solid Works - 2007 or newer
- Must have strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs
- Excellent communication skills required
- Must be detail oriented and possess a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement in all areas
- Must be safety minded and practice shop safety
- Must be self motivated to work independently
