Purchasing Specialist


Job Details

A large construction company is currently searching for a Purchasing Specialist to add to their team. This organization has been around for over 50 years and prides themselves on the work they do and the relationships they have built with clients over the years. The Purchasing Specialist is a key part of the operations team and will be responsible for the following:


Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and issue Purchase Orders and Subcontracts
  • Develop strategic relationships with key subcontractors and vendors
  • Communicate with estimators and upper management on cost savings initiatives
  • Support the estimating department on various construction projects
  • Make recommendations for the best evaluated solution for the Company with respect to cost, schedule, commercial arrangements and others


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience in the construction industry
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
