Job Description: Northbrook family seeking an experienced Nanny for their 15-month-old! The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with a loving family. Start as soon as possible.
Schedule: Guaranteed 38 hours a week. Hours will be between Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm and Wednesday, 9:00am-3:00pm.
Compensation: $30/hourly + vacation, holidays, sick days.
Job Details and Responsibilities:
- One child - 15 months old.
- Primary responsibilities are the day-to-day care of the child including preparing meals and bottles, changing diapers, monitoring naps, and taking the child on walks and /or daily activities to approved locations near the home (e.g. local libraries, scheduled classes, parks).
- Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing the child's areas, child's laundry, washing bottles and child's dishes, and keeping track of the child's needs (diapers, wipes, etc.).
- Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones (solid foods, potty training, etc.). Should be able to provide developmentally appropriate activities.
- Both parents work from home full-time in a separate space. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement and willing to work alongside the family.
- The family has one dog and one cat. Nanny should be comfortable around pets!
Qualifications: - Nanny should have extensive, verifiable nannying experience with infants and toddlers.
- Nanny is reliable and strong communicator. Is open to receiving feedback from parents and comfortable giving it as well.
- Nanny is looking for a long-term commitment with a family.
- Nanny should be warm, caring, and patient. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family.
- Nanny should be self-sufficient and organized. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of children's needs. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and anticipate family's needs.
- Nanny should be high-energy and active but is able to be a calm presence when needed.
- Driving is required for this role. Family will provide a vehicle.
- COVID and Flu vaccinations required.
