To learn more about our surrounding location, please visit: Visit St. Mary's.A typical day as an Electronics Technician (Multi Jammer Characterization-MJC)-Junior may include:Provides technical support and operates the Multi Jammer Characterization (MJC) motion platforms/other ECSTIM-based simulators as neededParticipates in test preparation, execution, post-test reporting and breakdownAssists engineers as they conduct tests and develop processesDiagnoses and repairs electronic systems and components; including circuit boards, control systems and other devicesConducts routine testing, calibration and inspection of electronic equipment to ensure optimal performanceIdentefies and resolves issues in electronic systems using diagnostic tools and softwareAssists in the installation and setup of electronic systems and equipmentMust-haves:HS Diploma or equivalent1 year of relevant work experienceProficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics/blueprintsStrong understanding of electronic components and systemsExperience with diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipmentThe ability to solder and desolder electronic componentsThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired Skills: BS DegreeExperience with Computer-Aided DesignExperience with electrical wiringExperience with electrical engineering/technologyExperience with mechanical engineering/technologySkills Crucial to Success at AMEWAS:Candidates must have a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion, and have the ability to work effectively with both management, and as part of a team, to meet project targets.Physical Environment and Working Conditions:The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
