Computer Technician

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Microsoft, iOS and ChromeOS operating systems with strong problem resolution skills

* Experience in hardware and software installations and troubleshooting

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.)

Description:

* To provide service and support to students and district employees; district-owned hardware, software and peripherals; district subscription services

Performance Responsibilities:

* Perform routine maintenance of equipment and upgrades to software

* Install and troubleshoot software while adhering to license requirements

* Install, configure, repair and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices and peripherals

* Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment, warranties and software licenses

* Prioritize tech tickets, find resolutions and document repair solutions

* Maintain department documentation with updated procedures, troubleshooting and problem-solving resolutions

* May be asked to manage:

* iOS devices through MDM solutions

* Chrome devices through the Google Admin Console

* Application deployment to mobile devices

* Perform any other such duties as may be assigned by the Director of Information

* Systems and/or the Director of Technology and Library Media

Essential Functions of the Job:

* Establish and maintain positive interactions with students, school personnel and community members

* Present information in a clear and concise manner

* Consult and collaborate with Technology Department members

* Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness to solve problems

* Independently organize and prioritize multiple demands while performing duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism

* Learn new systems and technology to meet changing demands

* Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

* Director of Information Systems

* 12 month position

* Ability to work in a normal school building environment

* Ability to lift 50 pounds

* Must possess a valid driver's license and access to transportation for travel between schools
