We are looking for the Regional Chief Compliance Officer (USA region) responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the processes by which the company will comply with all applicable USA laws and regulations

Responsibilities:

    • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Manage and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable USA laws and regulations related to cryptoprocessingEnsure the company's operations comply with federal and state regulatory requirements
    • Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks associated with cryptoprocessingImplement compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirementsMonitor and review internal processes to ensure they are effective and comply with regulatory standardsManage and oversee the company's AML and sanctions screening programsReport SARs and other required reports
    • Audit and Reporting:
    • Prepare and present compliance reports to the executive team and regulatory bodies.Coordinate with internal and external auditors during compliance audits
    • Incident Management:
    • Investigate and resolve compliance issues or breachesImplement corrective actions to address compliance deficiencies and prevent recurrence
    • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory authoritiesCollaborate with other departments to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processesRepresent the company in industry forums and compliance-related meetings

Requirements:
    • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP) is preferred
    • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a compliance role, within the financial services or crypto industryProven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs in a regulated environment
    • Knowledge and Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of USA regulations related to cryptoprocessing, including AML, KYC, and OFAC requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to Detail:
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
    • Ethics and Integrity:
    • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct

    • Advanced Certifications:
    • Additional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant compliance and risk management certifications
    • Experience with Cryptoprocessing:
    • Previous experience working specifically within the cryptoprocessing industry or a deep understanding of blockchain technology and its regulatory landscape
    • International Compliance Experience:
    • Experience with international compliance regulations and working within a global compliance framework
    • Technology Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with compliance management software and tools, as well as a general understanding of IT security and data protection principles
    • Regulatory Liaison Experience:
    • Direct experience liaising with regulatory bodies such as FinCEN, SEC, and other relevant federal and state agencies
