The role:
The Laundry Attendant will provide laundry services to the Tribeca facility in collaboration with the laundry team in Brooklyn. This position is located primarily in Brooklyn, with pick-up and drop-off routes to Tribeca. The majority of the role consists of washing and drying used textiles, folding laundry, and maintaining a clean and professional laundry facility. There is also limited driving to and from the Tribeca spa to retrieve and deliver laundry items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and dry used textiles (e.g. robes, towels, swimsuits, water shoes, sheets, etc.)
according to direction and machine requirements.
Fold clean laundry according to company protocol.
Retrieve used laundry and distributed clean materials.
Ensuring compliance with the tasks assigned in the "task chart".
Clean assigned areas of the center (e.g. floors, walls, furniture, trash, etc.).
You will be joining our laundry team located at our laundry facility in Brooklyn. We pride ourselves on having a collaborative and fun culture in the office!
Who You Are: - Prior experience in a housekeeping, spa, or hospitality business is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is also a plus, but not required.
- You are completely customer-oriented, and you have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, and continuously perform essential job functions for an extended period of time.
- Must have a (clean) valid driver's license, required.
- Must have experience driving sprinter vans/trucks, required.
- Possess a strong customer service mentality. Display a friendly, energetic, outgoing, and personable demeanor.
