THIS IS A 3 RD SHIFT POSITION. The employee works two 12 hour shifts per week as a dispatcher (7 PM to 7 AM), and two 8 hour shifts per week as a safety officer (11 PM to 7 AM). Dispatcher duties include answering phones, assisting customers at the dispatch window, coordinating radio transmissions between employees, and maintaining a log of all Safety interventions. The safety officer responsibilities include patrolling campus, responding to calls, assisting with lockouts, providing safe ride services, and building positive relationships with members of the Messiah University community. Education Required High School diploma or equivalent Education Preferred Associate or Bachelor degree Experience Required Prior employment in a service-oriented line of work. Experience Preferred 1 year of experience in a security or customer service position within a college or university setting.
