Masonic Village at Warminster is hiring a Therapeutic Recreation Manager. This is a Full Time Day opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Therapeutic Recreation Manager, you will carry out our Mission of Love by developing a comprehensive program of therapeutic recreation services that meet the needs, abilities and interests of residents living in the Masonic Village at Warminster. You will oversee and promote independence and a team approach with staff responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating recreation services on the campus. You will identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff. You will collaborate with the quality committee and senior leaders to prioritize and develop QAPI efforts.

Our Therapeutic Recreation Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Interview, hire, supervise and conduct PAC performance reviews for Recreation Assistants and Drivers.
  • Evaluate recreation programming to assure quality and effectiveness of the programs designed to meet needs and interests of the residents.
  • Ensure documentation (assessments, MDS, care plan goals and progress notes) are complete, current and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in patient care conferences.
  • Serve as the Resident Council Advisor, facilitate meetings and distribute minutes to appropriate persons.
  • Communicate with other employees in the department, other Masonic Village staff and personnel at other facilities through consultations, referrals, interdisciplinary conferences and scheduled meetings.
  • Maintain an inventory of department supplies and order necessary items within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of petty cash.
  • Complete staff work schedules and process department payroll.
  • Assist with scheduled recreational programs as needed.

What You Definitely Have:
  • Degree in therapeutic recreation or other related degree preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Activity Director through NCCAP.
  • Minimum of one year full time experience in long term care with knowledge of current state and federal regulations and professional standards.
  • Current Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Computer competency in the form of basic word processing skills necessary.
  • CPR certification required.
