Job Title: Experimental Assembly Mechanic
Location: Wichita, KS
Hours: 6:45 AM - 03:15 PM


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assembly of complete prototype and production aircrafts, and test articles by installing a variety of sheet metal, Composite and/or machined assemblies for new or modified articles according to engineering instructions.
  • Responsible for supporting lesser grade team members in the proper assembly and installation of major aircraft assemblies, as required to meet engineering and schedule objectives.
  • Responsible for FO prevention in all articles and aircrafts that they are assigned to.
  • Familiar with the proper use of assembly tooling and fixtures, as well as various precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, scales, and all types of gages.
  • May build shop-aids, jigs, and fixtures for Experimental projects.
  • Responsible for own work.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years sheet metal airframe assembly experience required
