Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Risk Consultant to work for our client in the Insurance industry. Apply now for consideration!

Contract: 6 months, W2

Location: Hartford, CT, HYBRID (Flexible)

Pay Range: 50-60/Hour Based on YOE

Brief Summary: Our client offers a depth of expertise and services across a full range of mass tort and complex liability issues, including insurance archeology, policy analysis and mapping, electronic database solutions, allocation modeling, negotiations with insurers, and claims and payment tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic plans to optimize clients' insurance recovery for mass tort and other potentially high-dollar value claims for corporate clients.
  • Review and record information about claims filed.
  • Research financial parent companies and determine insurers' financial solvency of legacy insurers.
  • Understand and analyze basic coverage issues relative to commercial general liability and excess liability insurance policies.
  • Organize information relative to litigation costs across multiple claims.
  • Communicate with insurers and clients to provide coverage, claims, and litigation cost information and to respond to questions.
  • Actively uncover concerns or issues that may be unclear.
  • Respect and maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience at a law firm, insurer, or third-party administrator.
  • Experience in long-tail and emerging coverage issues is a plus.
  • Archelogy experience
  • Bachelor's degree, Juris Doctorate or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research via the internet and other applicable sources; investigation skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently within a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
