To perform advanced custodial tasks in order to maintain the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of state buildings, facilities, institutions, etc. LEVEL OF WORK:Advanced. SUPERVISION RECEIVED:General from a Custodian Supervisor A. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS. SUPERVISION EXERCISED:Provides guidance to lower-level Custodians. LOCATION OF WORK:All state agencies. JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from Custodian 2 by the presence of advanced-level custodial tasks. Differs from Custodian Supervisor A by the absence of direct supervisory responsibility. Examples of Work 70%Perform advanced-level tasks using special equipment for floor care and other custodial work. Trains lower-level custodians on the proper procedures and safety protocols for all custodial work. May serve as an assistant supervisor to lower-level custodians by making schedule recommendations, reviewing work performed, utilizing work order systems, and preparing supply requisitions.
