Vassar College seeks applicants for a Science Support Technician to provide support to the academic science laboratories. This position is full-time for the full-year. Responsibilities: Support the technical operation and maintenance of research and teaching equipment in the science labs. Design and build new equipment, meeting objectives set by Faculty, in support of new laboratory coursework. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing laboratory equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree in a related field (e.g. Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, etc.) with 3 or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the principles of applied electronics and ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment as well as repair and assemble electronic circuits.
