A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City.
The Property Manager will report to the Senior Asset Manager and will be located at the newly renovated on-site office. This role will have a significant leadership position, directly managing a team of five office employees and overseeing 31 building maintenance employees and 16 third-party security guards.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with Asset Management of the portfolio including managing property operations, and assisting with annual operating budgets, and various ad hoc analyses.
  • Oversee the affordable housing (AMI) lottery process and leasing, market rate leasing and lease renewals.
  • Conduct resident-landlord relations and communications, including fielding inquiries, writing notices, and assisting in event planning.
  • In conjunction with the Legal Department and outside counsel, responsible for management and oversight of landlord-tenant legal proceedings.
  • Oversee accounts receivables and accounts payables.
  • Coordinate with two on-site community non-profit organizations.
  • Explore and analyze means of reducing operating expenses while maintaining a high level of service to residents and drive revenue growth through apartment renovations, building-wide capital projects, and ancillary sources of revenue.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University or equivalent combination of education an experience.
  • Leadership experience in a team environment.
  • Ability to successfully resolve resident issues as demonstrated by work experience.
  • Strong understanding of building operational systems, leasing, and marketing.
  • NYC affordable housing (AMI) experience. Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Four years of property or asset management experience in New York City.
  • Strongly knowledgeable in Yardi software.




Compensation details: 70000-80000 Yearly Salary
