Purchasing Specialist


Job Details

Assist with planning, directing, and coordinating activities in fulfilling purchase requests. Responsible for timely and accurate order process including but not limited to order entry, price confirmation, and enforcement of policies and procedures. Provide customer service support as needed. Conduct research related to customer inquiries. Engages directly with operations personnel and management to resolve issues. Meet or exceed delivery schedule by recognizing opportunities to continually improve order fulfillment.

Required Experience


Requires AA/AS degree in computer science, business, or a related field and minimum of three years of IT experience, of which at least two years must be specialized. Degree requirement may be substituted with additional relevant experience.


Specialized experience includes experience in operations and fulfillment industry practices.


Must have thorough understanding of IT assets including laptops, printers, mobile devices, AV/VTC equipment, end user software, etc. as well as IT commodity products and supplies.


Detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks and multi-task.


Must have a positive and patient customer service attitude.


Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.


Experience supporting a nationwide mid to large Federal agency enterprise is a plus.


A+ certification is desired.


Must be able to obtain agency suitability clearance.
