Accountant
SOX Accountant
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manitowoc and UPR Fixed Assets, including capital tracking, monthly journal entries, weekly, monthly forecasting and annual business plan, capital spend variance analysis, fixed asset audits every 5 years, Fixed Asset system maintenance, and preparation/analysis of Appropriation Requests in LOTUS NOTES. This position works closely with the Manufacturing Technology Manager and project leaders.
- Maintains SOX controls. This includes narrative and controls matrix updates and performs walkthroughs for each significant account or process.
- Month end Activity for Manitowoc, UPR and traded ledger. This includes local general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and corporate financial system Onestream maintenance.
- Assists controller prepare weekly, monthly and annual business plan financials.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Accuracy and accountability in all work.
- Enforces and effectively communicates company policies and processes. And assists and/or leads in the development of new processes.
- Other general accounting duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in Accounting required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience including payroll required.
- Kronos, ADP, BPCS system experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- Detail and results oriented.
- Able to prioritize work with little direction.
- Highly motivated to work in a team environment.
- Takes initiative to solve problems and to suggest proactive solutions.
$42.50/hr
7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
