Security Engineer


Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our IT security infrastructure to protect Solo Brands' systems, networks, and data. This role requires a strong understanding of security practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging security threats in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect Solo Brands' IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and reports to identify and address security breaches.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks.
  • Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate security measures into system designs and deployments.
  • Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and awareness.
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT security administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security practices and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and antivirus solutions.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Proficient in security monitoring and incident response.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
