Job Details

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the City Clerk's Office and the assist the City Clerk as a records keeper. This is accomplished by transcribing council meeting minutes, assisting in the maintenance of document vault, assisting the public and other departments requesting copies of City documents, notarizing documents, distributing City Code Supplements, preparing for meetings, processing documents, opening and distributing mail, contacting customers, and filing paperwork. Other duties include representing the City Clerk in their absence. Typical Tasks Creates, indexes, and maintains minutes of City Council meetings by typing minutes from audio tapes, following approval from Council distribute copies to departments, assigning numbers to adopted ordinances, indexing ordinances, sending copies to the State, and maintaining original Minute Book.
