Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Purchasing Specialist to join our team in the medical industry. This role is a critical part of our supply chain operations, ensuring that our medical facilities have the necessary supplies and equipment to provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain procedures. Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the purchasing of medical supplies, equipment, and services from initial request through delivery.
2. Develop and maintain professional relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
3. Negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, and supply agreements with suppliers.
4. Ensure that all purchases adhere to company and industry quality standards and regulations.
5. Monitor inventory levels and predict future supply needs.
6. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
7. Coordinate with other departments to determine supply needs, quality, and delivery times.
8. Develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce the overall costs of procurement.
9. Resolve issues related to delivered goods, including quantity discrepancies, quality issues, and late deliveries.
10. Stay informed about advancements and changes in the medical supply industry.

Qualifications:
1. Preferred education in purchasing, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the medical industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of purchasing strategies and practices.
4. Proven experience with purchase orders, vendor management, and material procurement.
5. Solid understanding of medical supplies and equipment.
6. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management systems.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
12. Knowledge of medical industry regulations and standards.
13. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
