Summary:

Under administrative direction, coordinate and manage the Computer Science Department office. Perform a wide variety of support tasks and operate computer systems utilizing various office software packages. Will work with faculty in assisting with clerical work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage incoming phone calls, respond to and address emails from the computer science department, welcome and assist office visitors, provide information, and route requests appropriately within the Computer Science department. Responsible for all clerical functions of the Computer Science departmental offices and responsible for assisting with the set-up of operating procedures. Inputs course approvals in Banner. Manage the department's academic files and records both paper and electronic. Scan files to digitize. Prepares supply orders, issues office supplies and maintains records of supplies used in the computer science department; maintains inventory log and assigns keys and/or equipment to staff. Monitors computer science course enrollment and notifies the department head when new course sections are needed. Also, maintains a waitlist for courses. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to sit for long durations at a computer.

Lift a minimum of 15 pounds.

Extensive knowledge of office support and general office practices and procedures, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel).

Skill in oral and written communication
