Kalahari Resorts Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-themed resort is home to America s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
We are inviting you to apply for our Resort Beverage Director position. In this position, you will work to achieve beverage sales volume and operating profit objectives across the resort. The main function of this role is to facilitate selling and up-sales, train, assist and schedule staff, while improving guest satisfaction. You will report to the Food Beverage Director and/or the Corporate Beverage Director. This position does not create menus or wine lists.
With this position, we do require a background of:
- Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits and beer served in a variety of environments.
- Experience in building craft cocktails and operating drink machines.
- Tremendous skill as a bartender, and the willingness to dive in when needed.
- Valid driver s license required and must be least 21 years of age.
- Minimum 5+ years beverage sales management experience and food service experience required; preferably in a large hotel (over 500 rooms) or successful chain/brand of food and beverage establishments.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in relation to analyzing sales data are helpful.
