We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Loader Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment, including Front End Loaders and Skid Steers at our feed manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities & Duties

* Safely operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicles, equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop, to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars: Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader

* Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, moves levers to dump material

* Operates with a high level of detail to maintain accurate weights while generating a batch of blended feed

* Maintain clean equipment daily, and preform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on machines

* Ensure company safety practices are followed, along with OSHA standards

* Ensure the mill is kept clean, including the grounds surrounding the mill

* Perform any other related operational processes or tasks deemed necessary by local management

Qualifications and Skills

* Front End Loader and Skid Steer experience required

* Ability to lift 75 pounds

* Ability to work and stand for 10hours/day

* Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, extreme heat or cold

* Ability to perform general housekeeping duties

* Maintain safe working environment

* Attention to detail

* Ability to work in a team setting

* Ability to work a rotating schedule

* Some weekends required in winter months
