Summary

CHS Hedging has an exciting opportunity located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. CHS Hedging is a growing agriculture and energy focused futures commission merchant (FCM) with clearing memberships at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX). Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the overall finance operations of CHS Hedging, through the management of the back office operations, treasury and cash options support and FP&A teams supporting regulatory financial reporting and compliance. The position is a key part of the senior management team, helping ensure adherence with regulatory requirements and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide overall finance operations leadership and take responsibility for all finance and treasury matters related to the FCM businessLiaise internally with FCM personnel and externally with CHS stakeholders to promote a strong finance awareness and risk management cultureResponsibility over the FCMs:Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportingRegulatory financial filings and reportingLong range planningDay to day operations for the back office teamStorage and maintenance of documents and key dataFinancial technology and systemsTreasury operations and management of cash positions and riskInvestment portfolioFinancial audits and other related audits as necessary

Collaborate with Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer to deliver against all audits, regulatory reviews and request for dataAlign CHS Hedging finance operations to CHS Inc. finance and accounting practicesCoordinate the FCMs financial operations within the CHS global enterpriseCoach and develop the team and develop a strong succession plan

Minimum Qualifications (required)

Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting or related field10+ years of experience in finance with exposure to regulatory oversightPrior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilitiesSeries 3 Commodity Futures License, or ability to obtain within 90 days

Additional Qualifications

Experience in an FCM environment is strongly preferredAdvanced degreeCPA or CMA CertificationChange leadership experience, both in a position of authority and through organizational influence.Experienced in educating people to new processes and bringing them along.Experience collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve tasks (IT, Finance, etc.)Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
