Job DetailsThe Warehouse Supervisor will oversee a team and manage all warehouse functions, including material handling, receiving, kitting, and shipping. This position involves direct supervision, motivating the team, leading by example, and fostering a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing inbound, outbound, and internal material movement processes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise overall stockroom operations
- Provide guidance and direction, and improve individual performance through clear expectations, training, coaching, and mentoring of the warehouse team
- Work with support functions and customers to enhance company objectives and customer satisfaction
- Achieve departmental metrics by taking strategic actions or implementing process improvements
- Cultivate a high-performance culture with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure that material movement processes and procedures within and outside the MRP system are followed and documented
- Oversee company cycle counting procedures to maintain accurate inventory
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipment transactions
- Communicate with customers to address shipping and receiving inquiries and resolve issues
- Ensure general safety and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Maintain good communication skills and meet deadlines
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse management or a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in managing inventory and handling procedures
- Familiarity with carrier portals such as UPS and FedEx
- Ability to work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Contracts, Procurement, Quality, and Management teams
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
