Job Overview:
Join our client s team as an Infection Control Specialist, where you'll be responsible for identifying and controlling hospital-acquired infections, educating staff, and developing infection control policies. Reporting to the CEO, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining high infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct surveillance to identify and prevent healthcare-acquired infections.
Review clinical and lab findings to manage infectious conditions.
Present infection prevention risk assessments and data.
Support clinical staff and committees as an infection control expert.
Update policies and procedures based on literature reviews.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver infection prevention education programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in a relevant field; Master s in Public Health preferred.
3 years of experience in an acute psychiatric hospital or similar setting.
Obtain Associate-Infection Prevention Control (a-IPC) certification within 1 year of hire.
Obtain Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 3 years of hire.
If you have experience in:
Epidemiology
Infection prevention
Masters in Public Health
