As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services essential for our manufacturing operations. You will ensure that our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently, maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing costs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand and meet their procurement needs.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.


Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience in supply chain management, or experience in a related field
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role within the electronics or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize needs
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
