Job Title: Assistant Product Manager

Location: Brownsville, TX

General Purpose:

The Assistant Product Manager plays a critical role in supporting new product development and overall line management within the automotive industry. This position collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations alongside the Fuel or Water Product Manager to ensure product lines are well-maintained and aligned with company goals and objectives. The role also provides significant support to the Sales Staff and occasionally interfaces with customers. Limited travel will be required to support key projects and customer events.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage data assets and projects related to product development and key customer deliverables.
  • Assist the Product Manager with new product development and program launches (NPI).
  • Handle engineering change requests (ECRs).
  • Maintain customer data loads and channel portals.
  • Compile, organize, interpret, and report on various data sets.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and reporting.
  • Maintain interchange information.
  • Manage projects effectively.
  • Prepare customer line review content and category reviews.
  • Attend and work at various customer and industry trade shows.
  • Pull sample orders for shows and photography needs.
  • Review on-hand inventory against prints and images for accuracy.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Associate's or bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements/Experience:

  • Associate's or bachelor s degree preferred. Automotive certification or apprenticeship will be considered.
  • Experience in supporting Sales and Operations while engaging with key customers.
  • Preferred minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in Automotive, Inside Sales, or Operations.
