**Function**

This position is responsible for effectively performing level 1 warehousing and distribution activities described in the Primary Duties and Responsibilities below. The employee is expected to perform these tasks at posted standards for the warehouse, for productivity for each function and to perform the task with a high degree of accuracy and quality.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

* Utilize the Company Vision statement as the primary guide for decision making. Support and encourage behavior that reflects the term "customer" refers to dealers, suppliers, and all company employees.

* Work within Allied Electronics safety policies and safety programs in a uniform and consistent manner so that employee injuries and illnesses can be prevented and compliance with federal, state and local regulations can be achieved.

* Follow proper lifting techniques including team lifting when items are too heavy for individual lifting.

* Assist in maintaining a clean, organized facility through diligent housekeeping efforts. Employees are required to assist in keeping aisles open and free of trash as well as picking up after themselves.

* Use computer and other devices provided in warehouse automation systems with care, report any unsafe or malice activities that could damage the automation or computer systems.

* Equipment operation Utilize only when properly trained. Depending on specific duties, employees will be required to train on and operate various types of material handling equipment.

* Security - every employee is considered to be a member of the distribution center security team and as such has responsibility for the security and integrity of the premises, equipment, inventory, and company information.

* Employees must be flexible in work hours available including overtime and be able to respond to varying workloads without prior notice. Report to work every day, on time, as scheduled.

* Effectively perform Level 1 warehousing and distribution activities utilizing work instructions provided, at posted performance and quality standards:

+ Preparing Items to be Processed into the Order Storage/Retrieval System

+ Storing Product into Bin Locations in the Forward Pick Face & Hi-Bay

+ Packing Customer Orders of Non-Conveyable Items

+ Order Storage/Retrieval System, Non-Conveyable & Bulk Picking for Customer Orders.

+ Packing and Shipping of Standard Customer & Supplier Orders

+ Decanting Picked Items and Placing them into the Pocket Sortation System

+ Consolidating Customer Orders into Put Wall Prior to Shipping

+ Material Handling of product throughout warehouse for various purposes

+ Scan Documents to be Filed Electronically and/or Sent to Other Departments.

**Education and/or Experience**

* A High School Diploma or GED

* Must be a good team worker, with reliable attendance

* Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

* Requires use of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

* Previous warehouse experience preferred

**Computer Skills**

Computer and/or mobile terminal skills may be required, as detailed within each specific job activity or work instruction.
