General Summary:
The company is seeking a Scientist II, Immunology to oversee all scientific activities, including applied research, new product/service development, clinical trials, data analysis, and scientific publication. The candidate will ensure top-notch customer service, addressing feedback to resolve issues and enhance satisfaction.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee research projects and manage research, development, and specialty projects, including clinical-trial support.
- Conduct and supervise regenerative medicine-related research and analytical assays.
- Train and supervise junior staff, implementing facility policies and procedures.
- Perform meticulous record-keeping and maintain proficiency in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays.
- Conduct in vitro characterization of cell therapy products and utilize platforms to evaluate innate cell function.
- Contribute to molecular biology methods for characterizing primary and engineered cells.
- Design and perform in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays.
- Develop preclinical assays for evaluating dysfunctional states.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for IND-enabling and clinical Phase I/II-enabling activities.
- Drive cell therapy upstream process development and support manufacturing troubleshooting and technology transfer activities.
- Analyze and present data, troubleshoot experiments, and apply Quality by Design (QbD) methodology.
Education:
- Master s Degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biology, or Bioengineering required.
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
- At least two years of hands-on experience with CAR-T, CAR-NK, CAR- T, and/or TCR-T cell therapies/immunotherapies.
- Strong understanding of innate cell biology and immune regulation pathways.
- Experience with high-dimensional FACS, transcriptional or epigenetic assessment, and other single-cell analytics.
- Knowledge of FlowJo, GraphPad, ImageJ, and mammalian cell expansion techniques.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of cell-based therapeutics and applied regenerative medicine.
- Knowledge of tissue and cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and laboratory sciences.
- Familiarity with regulatory/quality compliance, cGMP, cGTP, and CLIA regulations.
