Job Details
The Accounting/Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ordering items for the facility and ensuring items arrive when needed.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Answer Phone & Greet Customers
- Data entry & daily coordination of requisitions and purchase orders
- Evaluation of sales tax status for purchases
- Obtain pricing quotes from vendors
- Weekly processing of PCard purchases
- Manage Certificate of Liability process
- Inventory Control & Office Supply ordering
- Backup payroll processing
- Assist Human Resources,Production Planning & Accountingdepartments with various administrative duties & reporting
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High School/GED required; minimum 2 years experience in accountingor AS in Accounting in a manufacturing plant a plus
- Minimum 2 years requisition/purchase order experience with emphasis in manufacturing sales tax exemption
- Minimum 3 years experience in administrative /customer service
- Must possess highly effective communication skills,be detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
- Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Requirements
- Payroll experience preferred
- Knowledge ofAS400a plus
