Job Details

The Accounting/Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ordering items for the facility and ensuring items arrive when needed.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Answer Phone & Greet Customers
  • Data entry & daily coordination of requisitions and purchase orders
  • Evaluation of sales tax status for purchases
  • Obtain pricing quotes from vendors
  • Weekly processing of PCard purchases
  • Manage Certificate of Liability process
  • Inventory Control & Office Supply ordering
  • Backup payroll processing
  • Assist Human Resources,Production Planning & Accountingdepartments with various administrative duties & reporting
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School/GED required; minimum 2 years experience in accountingor AS in Accounting in a manufacturing plant a plus
  • Minimum 2 years requisition/purchase order experience with emphasis in manufacturing sales tax exemption
  • Minimum 3 years experience in administrative /customer service
  • Must possess highly effective communication skills,be detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Requirements

  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Knowledge ofAS400a plus
