Procurement Lead - North Carolina - Hybrid Position - Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Optimization, Supplier Relationship Management, Raw Chemical Sourcing- $140,000 + Benefits + PTO + Healthcare


Role:


We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager in Procurement with a strategic mindset to lead our Global Procurement Vision in close partnership with essential stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in creating and implementing extended-term strategies aimed at enhancing quality, lead-time, technology utilization, risk mitigation, and overall cost efficiency throughout our supply network. The preferred candidate will utilize advanced technologies, refine operational procedures, and cultivate strong supplier partnerships to achieve lasting reductions in costs and improvements in operational effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop strategic plans, operational processes, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives, prioritizing partner requirements encompassing cost, complexity, and service excellence.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements aimed at achieving cost efficiencies, enhancing service levels, managing contractual risks, optimizing asset utilization, and enhancing overall value for the organization.
  • Lead data-driven strategies utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis frameworks, taking into account cross-functional impacts across stakeholders.
  • Foster strong partnerships with suppliers and internal teams to drive sourcing strategies that minimize costs and risks for the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, quality, and delivery to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver comprehensive communication to senior management, providing regular and ad-hoc reports on operational status, market dynamics, emerging risks, and actionable mitigation strategies.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Finance, or a related business field; master's degree preferred.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in overseeing supply chain and sourcing activities, encompassing strategy development, procurement, quality management, inventory, and distribution.
  • Experience in sourcing chemical raw materials is essential.
  • More than 5 years of managerial experience in progressively challenging sourcing roles.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, capable of gathering and interpreting data to facilitate informed decision-making and prompt action.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of procurement processes and strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in team building and leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of the entire sourcing and procurement lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with market trends and opportunities, including emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
