Position Title: Maintenance Worker (Graveyard shift)
Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour
Position Purpose:
Performs a variety of janitorial and custodial duties and may assist in other maintenance-related activities during the graveyard shift. This is a temporary seasonal position not to exceed 122 days that will be scheduled full time hours.
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday 12:00AM - 8:30AM. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.

Essential Functions:
* Cleans assigned buildings, offices and other areas throughout the fairgrounds and maintains facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
* Cleans and restocks restrooms with needed supplies.
* Empties, cleans and relines trash receptacles, and disposes of trash in compactor.
* Cleans guest tables and eating areas and removes trash from eating areas.
* May operate a trash compactor/baler as needed.
* May assist in unskilled general maintenance and repair activities, including plumbing, electrical and landscaping duties as needed.

Qualifications:
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Valid California Driver's License
* Must be available to work 5 days per week (Wednesday- Sunday) for the graveyard shift, mid July - mid August.
* Good customer service skills.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Preferences:
* Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
* Experience operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and waxers.
* Familiarity with the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center helpful.

Work Environment:
Will work in a fast-paced, indoor and outdoor environment in all types of weather.
