TPT MEMBERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE - MINNESOTA STATE FAIR

(Temporary: August 19 - Labor Day, September 2, 2024)

Join Twin Cities PBS at the Minnesota State Fair, one of the nations largest agricultural and educational events, as a TPT Membership Representative. The successful candidate has a passion and knowledge around TPT's programming and mission, high energy, professional and engaging communication skills, and a strong drive for results. Flexible schedules (4-8 hour shifts) and performance incentives possible.

  • $19.50 per hour + fundraising-based Bonus!
  • Admission to the State Fair provided!


KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use strong professional sales and fundraising skills to help TPT continue its mission

  • Warmly greet, and share TPT's mission, programming and resources to fair attendees
  • Assist prospect members and current TPT members with questions in a professional and courteous manner
  • Accurately assist with membership data entry into an online web form
  • Recognize and respond quickly and professionally to any unexpected situations
  • Consistently and reliably fulfill work schedule


POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity and love of TPT and PBS programming and resources
  • Able to quickly and clearly learn and articulate the benefits of becoming a TPT member to fair-goers
  • Sales or fundraising experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to tailor communication to meet audience needs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Accurate data entry and typing skills
  • Full-time availability preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather, for the State Fair
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and distribute materials
