D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Purchasing Agent for their Purchasing Department. The right candidate will bid on new projects, maintain scopes of work, track blueprints and design changes, etc. The annual compensation for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, including a discretionary bonus structure, commensurate with experience. This position is on site, Monday through Friday, in the San Ramon office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preliminary budget estimating.
- Achieve cost transparency
- Bid proposal qualification and negotiation
- Pre-qualify subcontractors
- Maintain and update current budgets
- Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
- Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
- Ability to map supply chain and demonstrate product knowledge
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Homebuilding or construction industry experience strongly preferred.
