Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Accounting Operations Management: Direct and oversee accounting operations for a single plant, ensuring procedures align with company objectives and compliance requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Manage financial performance through month-end activities and reporting, providing timely and accurate financial analysis and cost forecasts.
- Capital Expenditures: Maintain control and reporting of Capital Expenditures, particularly for large ongoing expansion projects.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze site financials to guide leadership in making informed, financially sound decisions.
- Internal Controls: Oversee financial internal and external controls regarding assets and expenditures.
- Benchmarking Performance: Implement and measure performance against benchmarks for financial and operating performance.
- Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis and reconciliation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing and finance management to discuss plant performance and production issues.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure organizational compliance with accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP requirements, and company policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage multiple projects and supervise accounting and finance functions at the plant level.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing teams and projects.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in building financial models and conducting in-depth analysis.
- Experience with large CAPEX projects is a plus.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, Axiom, and Lawson Financial Software preferred.
- Adaptability and effective communication skills across various organizational levels.
