Job Description
Job title: Material Handler
Company Information: Monogram Foods Solutions is a leading manufacturer and marketer of value-added meat products, snacks, and appetizers. Monogram specializes in strategic co-packing, private label, and branded business, with both owned brands and licensed brands. Monogram's broad portfolio of products includes beef jerky, bacon jerky, turkey jerky, meat sticks, pickled sausages and pickled eggs, smoked sausage, hotdogs, pre-cooked bacon, bacon, corndogs, mini corndogs, pancake and sausage, potato skins, onion rings, breaded cheese strips, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers, breaded mushrooms, breaded vegetables, and other value-added foods.
Position Summary, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Handlers are responsible for managing the company's warehouse operations. They move, handle, and store raw materials, keeping track of inventory levels and recording orders. Their main role is to ensure that the company's raw materials are stored safely and securely until they are requested by the production team. Material Handlers are often required to load off finished goods and unload supplies and packages from different locations, including storage areas. This job involves a lot of physical activity, and Material Handlers are expected to be on their feet for extended periods.
General Duties:
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
- Understand allergens and label them accordingly.
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting a regular PIT checklist.
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.
- Working with handheld-driven operations to pick outbound orders.
Work Environment: - Stand on concrete.
- Ambient temperatures.
- Work alone.
Personal Protective Equipment: - Safety shoes as needed.
- Insulated gloves as needed.
- Safety knives as needed.
The Ideal Candidate will have the Following QualificationsEducation and ExperienceEducation, prior work experience, and specialized skill and knowledge: - Certification in forklift operation
- Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
- Data entry, math, and computer skills
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods
- Be knowledgeable of safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures in your department.
Language Skills - Verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual a plus- English/Spanish
