Job Title: Product Designer

Location-Type: Hybrid-Newark, NJ || 37.5 hours/week || 3 days/week on-site, 2 days remote

Start Date Is: 2 weeks from offer

Duration: 6+month contract, potential for extension

Compensation Range: $60-$80/hr


Overview:


Our client is seeking a Product Designer to join their team. This role involves leading projects from start to finish, emphasizing strategy and best practices. The Product Designer will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring that all designs are user-tested and visually polished.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage digital projects including site banners, emails, display banners, PDP pages, and SEO pages.
  • Collaborate with the Creative VP on digital asset production, from project kickoff to completion.
  • Conduct light color retouching and image resizing on visual assets.
  • Drive digital creative strategies and ensure consistent application of brand standards.
  • Manage multiple projects, adhering to digital production project plans and timelines.
  • Deliver creative presentations to senior staff members.


Must-Haves:

  • 5-10 years of experience in digital design with an eCommerce focus.
  • Experience in a creative agency or in-house design team, preferably from a prestige beauty background.
  • Understanding of user experience methodologies and practices.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation design (PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize and work efficiently against tight deadlines.
  • Keen eye for clean design and ability to execute tactical direction efficiently.
  • Excellent cross-department communication skills and a positive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with content management systems like Drupal or Adobe.
  • Skills in Sketch app and/or video editing.
  • Experience working with a design system and the product lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with CMS design and using Figma with components in Adobe Experience Manager.
