Lawyers on Demand (LOD) is seeking a Controller to support one of our global clients in delivering the highest level of service to internal and external clients alike.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of financial reporting and the monthly close process with full responsibility for timeliness and accuracy.
- Guide all financial operations, accounting, and reporting.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls.
- Identify and remediate internal control weaknesses.
- Implementation of any applicable new guidance or standards.
- Direct responsibility for accounting for complex accounting and disclosure areas, such as revenue recognition, reserves, certain accruals, segments, and other disclosures.
- Manage external audit process.
- Prepare timely and accurate analyses of month-end and year-end financial reports for the executive team.
- Manage daily cash flow; prepare cash-flow reports and project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals.
- Monitor banking activities.
- Manage and reconcile all bank accounts.
- Manage all aspects of tax compliance with external tax advisors.
Requirements:
- CPA and/or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years on-the-job experience.
Lawyers On Demand (LOD) offers flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, candidate s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
