Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for managing financial records. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all accounts are balanced accurately
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to the management team
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors when necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required
