Job Summary:
PDQ Skilled Trades is seeking a Quality Control Welding Inspector to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. Our client is a national manufacturer, supplier, and installer of canopies and related components that services all sectors of the Retail Petroleum Industry, from independent oil marketers to major oil companies and large convenience store chains. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday (Weekends as needed)
- 3pm-11:30pm
Pay rate:
- $18-19hr depends on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products, visual welding inspection
- Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
- Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects
- Participate in routine visual inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
- Prior welding and/or welding inspection experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
