We're currently hiring for open positions in the US and Canada. We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Job Description:

Analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, spearhead projects and cross functional collaboration to successful outcomes. Develops and deploys reports and analytics to guide and enable optimal inventory planning and decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, sustain and improve pro-active, dynamic inventory control plans (E.g.; Plan for Every Part)
  • Pro-actively conduct analysis to determine opportunities to optimize inventory, improve customer service levels, and reduce costs
  • Assist in database maintenance (vendor records, item attributes, ERP reporting and related)
  • Excess & Obsolete Program Management (Incl.; disposition quarantined inventory; Resolve Non-Confirming Material and/or Customer/Vendor Return Material Authorization; Oversee First Time Quality fail; Initiate write off slow moving inventory)
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (Design/Develop/Implement/Maintain/Improve)
  • Program Management of Extended Lead Time components
  • Identify/Track inventory adjustments, resolve delayed/open/incomplete shipments and conduct other reports in support of accurate and timely inventory records
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to determine safety stock and minimum order quantity of internally manufactured product
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Day and/or overnight US/Canada travel to suppliers and/or company facilities may be required
  • Drive continuous improvement utilizing problem-solving skills and tools
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College Degree or 2 to 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Strong Microsoft suite business Acumen
  • Experience with lean/continuous improvement tools and programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent judgment and demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Prior supply chain (purchasing, buying, planning, materials) experience preferred
  • ERP Experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (strong excel skills preferred)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Primary work environment is professional corporate office

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Min. $52,988.00 - Max $79,481.00
