We are looking for multiple highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise in a challenging, fast-paced environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of engineering equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role demands a professional with a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Operate a variety of power and hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance, ensuring adherence to safety procedures at all times.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems to optimize machine performance.
  • Use your welding skills to repair or modify equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate, using your problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Operate machinery as required, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry is required.
  • Proven experience with preventive maintenance, repairing, safety procedures, and operating machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of power tools, hand tools, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting is essential.
  • Solid electrical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults in a variety of systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.
  • Demonstrated welding skills.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Relevant trade certification or diploma would be considered an asset.
