IT Applications Manager - Financial Systems

What is the position?

As an IT Applications Manager, you will be responsible for management of the Financials Systems Support team and them implementation of IT strategic solutions.


What are the responsibilities?

  • Prioritize tasks for the Financial Systems Support team
  • Manage issue resolution, risk assessment, quality assurance, and performance management
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline employees
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Recruit, select, and train employees
  • Conduct system audits of technologies and processes
  • Design and maintain process and quality of service improvements
  • Communicate status updates to business management
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing work and ensure work is completed based on priority
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation (ie. Deployment, disaster recovery, technical designs, etc.)
  • Establish standardized reporting metrics


What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related
  • 5+ years experience managing/leading teams
  • Experience in the energy industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Waterfield, Oracle Financials Cloud, and Allegro applications preferred
  • Knowledge of RightAngle, Boomi, OneStream, and ServiceNow preferred
  • Experience with testing tools and methods
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience troubleshooting issues across multiple systems and driving solutions
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical individuals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
