Position Overview: client Foundation is creating and advancing solutions that help older adults, age 50+, who have low income access programs that reduce the financial burden of consumer debt on their household's cash flow. You will use human-centered methods to understand and map opportunities for client Foundation to assist older adults with healthcare debt burdens and understand how this debt impacts their financial wellbeing. As a Service Designer you will synthesize results from a recent mixed methods research project to generate insights across qualitative and quantitative data. A successful candidate will enjoy discovery and be excited about using data sources to identify opportunities, summarize key findings in reports that will be used internally and externally, and propose tests for new programs that deliver high impact for older adults with healthcare debt.

Responsibilities:
- Gain a thorough understanding of older adults' needs with health care debt (resulting from medical, dental, and Rx) by distilling insights from qualitative and quantitative research.
- Gather, synthesize, and distill large amounts of information from multiple sources into easily consumable key insights.
- Distill key themes and insights to develop personas, journey maps, and other artifacts.
- Create internal and external narratives and reports based on key insights from qualitative and quantitative research and develop stories to align with older adults' needs.
- Support the team to move from analysis to action with clear, concise, and strategic recommendations.
- Document organizational strengths and limitations, and collaboratively determine how these should focus our work and can be leveraged for greatest impact at scale.
- Develop and maintain a program strategy roadmap to ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the customer's needs, objectives, goals, and metrics.
- Occasionally support the Financial Wellbeing team with data visualizations.

Skills and Experience:
- Completion of an advanced degree in design, social sciences, or a related field
- 3-5 years of service design or human centered design related experience
- Strong sensemaking skills, with the ability to distill large amounts of data into actionable information and to develop nuanced recommendations that take into account the needs of both potential program participants and the organization.
- Experience applying analysis tools/ frameworks such as stakeholder analysis, asset inventory, SWOT, service blueprints, business model canvas, and journey mapping.
- Experience mapping complex systems and stakeholders, with the ability to distill key pain points and insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize findings and craft clear, concise messages for specific audiences. Comfortable and experienced engaging with individuals at any level of an organization.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; curious and enjoys asking "why".
- Familiarity with or a passion for addressing healthcare debt (from health-related expenses such as medical, dental, and Rx)
- Experience with service design, including early discovery stages, design, and scoping tests for new services.
- Strong project management skills, including creation of detailed project plan, managing scope and competing priorities, ability to work collaboratively or independently and resolve issues as they arise.

I am looking for a service deisgner with 4-6 years of experience with strong tactical design. This role is a blend between the typical a strategist, designer, and researcher role, and we are seeking a hybrid of expertise and strategy.

It's a plus if they are familiar with healthcare debt, medical debt, or the healthcare industry. This role must have someone who is familiar with analyzing multiple data sets to find insights that translate into action steps to develop our program strategy and approach. I am looking for someone with strong communication skills who can translate the findings into a compelling narrative and develop visualizations to support.

top candidate will be agile, curious, proactive and self-motivated. We will face challenges and slow-downs and I need someone who is thinking ahead and finding creative solutions.
