Resumen:

The Indirect Inventory Coordinator is a position requiring demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in more than one functional area of Amys warehouse operations. This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, staging, and transfer of primarily indirect materials and supplies but also be expected to perform the same steps for raw materials, finished goods, and work in progress products (WIP) as seen necessary by the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, and/or Warehouse Manager in compliance with company standards and procedures. Responsible for ensuring operating supply and material inventory is accurate and communicating needs to indirect sourcing to support critical plant operations.

Pay: $17.52/hour

  • Unload inbound shipments safely and receive according to Amys Kitchen Receiving Procedures and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently label, stack, and store product in an organized manner and accurately record/scan storage locations for purposes of inventory control. Ensure all supply areas are clear of debris.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipping, transfer, or usage by manufacturing (staging) ensuring that the exact item and quantity is pulled and shipped, transferred, or staged.
  • Efficiently, safely and with minimum damage, move products or materials from/into manufactory department, staging, storage or on to transportation.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory accuracy, control and security are maintained.
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts when required.
  • Proficient use of Inventory Control programs, contained within the company ERP system and/or use of radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away and load functions, as required
  • Track indirect material and supply usage for facility and central supply as requested.
  • Assist in creation and updating of standard processes and tools for tracking, requesting, and issuing indirect materials
  • Work in conjunction with all departments to ensure they have proper production supplies and materials.
  • Inspect Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) before usage.
  • Keep equipment, tools, and company property neat and clean.
  • Change and charge PIT batteries as needed.
  • Sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking as needed. Sort and repair pallets when necessary.
  • Clean containers, trailers and truck bays as requested.
  • Promptly receive in system and communicate deliveries to requester identified on shipping documents. Communicate deliveries with insufficient shipping documentation to indirect team.
  • Assist in training new employees and team members on requesting, receiving, and inventory processes and tools.
  • Indirect Inventory Coordinator position requires general knowledge of Amys Kitchen or other equivalent processes and procedures used for the picking, staging, or shipping of indirect materials and supplies in addition, it requires demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in more than one functional area in the warehouse, such as receiving, slotting, staging, and picking or put away. An Indirect Inventory Coordinator also has the knowledge and experience to regularly aid in the direction of work activities and perform delegated tasks independently.
  • Report all potential inventory shortages and issues with indirect materials and supplies to indirect team.
  • All food safety practices must be always followed.
  • Understand the safe use of each piece of equipment (forklift, pallet inverter, dock leveler, etc.) and monitors all safety devices and guards for correct position and operation.
  • Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy's Kitchen Inc. employee handbook, safety manual and GMP booklet.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • During peak season or based on company needs overtime is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Assistant Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, and/or Warehouse Manager.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-6 months year warehouse experience. Additional 1-2 years in customer service and/or administration preferred.

SKILLS

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook e-mail or their equivalents.
  • Must be certified PIT operator.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to speak and read English sufficient to communicate and understand basic concepts and directions.
  • Must have effective English written/verbal skills
  • Fluent English/Spanish written/verbal skills are preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must successfully pass Warehouse Pre-Employment Math Test.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid motor vehicle license and certification as PIT driver (valid within the previous 12 months)

The position requires constant movement, reaching stretching, lifting, pulling, pushing, rapid movements under wet condition (weather or non-weather). Work environment also involves forklift traffic.
