The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine is seeking an academic physiatrist and leader at the level of Associate Professor or above with an interest in inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation to join our department. The physiatrist will provide clinical services at the soon to be constructed Shriners Children's Orthopedics Center through shared partnership with UHealth and Jackson Memorial Hospital (Holtz Pediatric Hospital). The Position will include an endowment from Shriners to help create the combined position of Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Vice Chair of Pediatric Rehabilitation within the Executive Committee of the Department of PM&R at the University of Miami Miler School of Medicine.


The primary responsibilities of this position will include leading expansion of the inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit, providing clinical care and growing outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services, and leading an expansion of the pediatric rehabilitation division with recruitment of clinical faculty, educators, and researchers. The position offers opportunities for teaching of medical students and residents. The possibility of establishing a Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship exists.


The ideal candidate will bring experience in leadership roles, growing and leading a pediatric rehabilitation service, and a track record of scholarship including research in the field.

Salary will be commensurate with training and experience. Compensation includes an excellent fringe benefits package, including dependent tuition benefits.
