Inventory Controller


Job Details

SS&PF is a locally owned business originated in 1976 and located NSL Utah. Our plant consists of 18 acres and includes 100,000

square feet of production area. With nearly 100 teammates we fabricate both simple and complex projects for the Western US

industrial market. SS&PF needs a competent Inventory manager who can organize and manage the company s materials. They will

track inventory, operate a forklift, and maintain order in the storage of all steel materials. The Inventory manager will work with two

direct report two teammates, while coordinating with purchasing, and management. Responsibilities would include, but not be

limited to:

1. Organize the storage and placement of all materials

2. Unload trucks with forklift or crane

3. Queue materials for production with a forklift or crane

4. Direct the efforts of their team

5. Be willing to work extra hours when needed

6. Help in any way needed the profitability of the company.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Highschool Diploma

EXPERIENCE:

o 3 Years of warehouse, or manufacturing experience

o Experience driving a forklift

APPTIUDE:

o Ability to organize materials,

o Lead by example,

o Operate inventory software and scanners

o Be a humble manager.


Preferences

5+ Years of experience in a fabrication shop or industrial facility

Forklift Certified

Experience with overhead cranes

Experience in a fabrication facility

Compensation

Hourly | $24-$30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Hiring bonus of $1000 at three months

Hiring bonus of $2000 at six months

Hiring bonus of $3000 at nine months

401K savings plan with discretionary company profit sharing (5-year historical average for profit sharing contributions is 3%)

University of Utah Healthcare Insurance Plan with SS&PF paying 70% and employee paying 30% of premiums

Dental and vision insurance are both available, but not provided

Vacation will be three weeks, or fifteen business days. During the first year of employment this vacation is to be used at no

more than eight days in the first six months

Every other Friday off

o A week: 4 x 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday

o B week: 4 x 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday plus 1 x 8-hour shift on Friday
